I stay clear of making requests, but I have some albums that I always secretly hope for.  The Red House Painters was a great surprise for me.  It's not something everyone will love, but they are on my list of personal favorites.  I love the way the vocals sound on this rip.  That deep sound has a nice crunchiness.

Was also glad to see this Souixsie Kaleidoscope rip.  I don't think this one was done since Minimax and it sounds great.

Also sampled a bit of the VU White Light.  This one has a really nice raw sound.  The reissues from a few years ago sound brighter, but you just can't beat this sound to really get a sense of it.  Thanks for these rips that really preserve these original sounds.

Bunch of other good stuff I haven't taken for a spin yet.

I want to thank you for three very special additions to the November archives. First is Henry Franklin’s The Skipper. I had no idea who Henry Franklin was (shame on me) but checked him out online and downloaded the album. It combines so many jazz styles including funk and fusion and is well recorded.

Next is Big Mama Thornton’s Jail. While I knew that she wrote Hound Dog and Ball and Chain, I did not have any of her recordings. This is a well recorded 1975 live album in a prison setting that includes two guitarists, harmonica, some sax and Thornton’s great vocals. Glad to now include in my blues listenings.

Third is Fairport Convention’s Liege and Lief. I previously owned a CD with only so-so sound and as a result did not listen to this great British folk rock album. The UK album sounds great with the bands instruments well recorded, and I can now especially enjoy Richard Thompson’s guitar and Sandy Denny’s vocals.

Thanks yet again Patrick for Nov. week 2 rips, Television 'Adventure' - a much maligned album back in the day - and another Hoodoo Gurus album amazing and Fairport's classic simply jaw dropping, it has a warmth and tonal quality the CDs and remasters failed to capture. Thanks for spreading the happiness.
