Sad about Hexload and I'm very unsure about that will come up again. But you did find a host that we all could use, thank you for that.
Have you ever considered to host your own server? I have set my own nextcloud server, and it surly works fine. But I don't know how it will work with the amount of downloads you have. But I'm almost certain the community would be willing to contribute to keep server/storage and bandwidth up.
