Decent Cover Image for The Scorpio Brothers - Iko Iko

Page 1 of 2Next

Does anyone have a cover pic better than the Discogs version?  The one on Discogs is marred by its cellophane wrapper.  A google search only found smaller images.

Anyone who is looking for any album art at all should probably get this thing.  It pulls it from multiple sources and you can get really nice high quality covers very quickly.

This is the best I could do:

Thanks.  I tried it for Iko Iko, and it found nothing - even tho I added additional plugins.

It's a bit cropped, but still nicer than what I had.  I appreciate your effort!

I'm not sure what Iko Iko is (band, album, etc) other than a song, but I searched on that and got about 30 results... not sure if any of them are what you want.

The beauty of that app is that you can right click on the folder with the music files in it and it will pre-populate the folder names in as your search... so you can do these very quickly.

I like the app and will keep it, but I may not need it very often.  These days, there's usually a digital release for albums that can be found at digital media distributors, with the highest quality being itunes or qobuz.  A browser extension called "Image Max URL" provides a rt-click option to locate the highest res image on that server.  I copy the image into a tab and drag it into my folder.  I'm handy with Photoshop so I can easily optimize colors if needed & scale it down.

That's only for my stereo player's display image.  I also maintain a subfolder for reference images from the actual source - lp or cd - and I don't care about the quality there.

But thx again for the app.  Cover art from rare releases that Pbthal occasionally rips takes more effort to find.

Nice one, just bookmarked - thanks!!!

I also find fanart.tv to be good for more popular releases.

Just one thing i forgotten to mention, regarding the link's site i posted, it's needed to type the correct artist/album name.
