Animal Magnetism - two same versions?

What is different here? Both say US pressing, Whest era..

Scorpions – Animal Magnetism.7z – 892.39 MB
Scorpions – Animal Magnetism.7z – 891.30 MB

If you try to download, you will see that it's only the 892.39 MB that will download. My guess is that there is no difference, and that the second "upload" is an error.

both will download and no files is corrupted. So you ask a very good question 😉
The funny thing is that the files inside the archives have identical file sizes, and tags.

Running these commands in Linux terminal shows that the files are identical:
sha256sum *.flac > sum.txt (in both folders)
diff sum.txt /secondFolder/sum.txt

Um no, file sizes are not the same. There is 100-200kb difference. Also, one version seems to be ripped on 26-Feb, another on 6-Mar. Also, embedded artwork is slightly different, i.e. different version/source of the album cover.

Oddly, when I downloaded that set only one downloaded for me.

The R + L channels are swapped on them. Compare with another rip of Animal Magnetism if you want to check which one's correct. Should be the March 6

Truly sorry for my earlier comment. Was to many red wine glasses 😉
I have compared again and there is different sha256sum on all tracks.
The "big" archive has included a folder.jpg, the "small" file don't.
The "big" archive has 03/06/2026 as file dates. The "small" archive has 02/26/2026 as file dates

@drybonz

The same happened to me when I "Snap Linked" all links to JD. Guess JD see them as identical, and then skipped one. (Identical names). "DownThemAll" extension I used earlier, renamed the files and grabbed them all. Maybe a setup thing in JD.

Ah ok... that's probably right.  I just highlight and drag them all into JD, but probably the same end result.
